To access the 'Base Maps' menu, please select the Maps icon in the left side of the screen.

Risk intelligence provides different maps, with each map having special characteristics which make them ideal for different situations.
- Base Maps
The 'Overlays' and 'Open Sea Map' function can be found below the Base Maps.
This toggles on an overlay with nautical information, traffic schemes, offshore installations, and other nautical features.
'Open Sea Map' is not meant for navigation.

- Datum
The 'Datum' overlay is used to show the range of a suspected pirate vessel over a specified time. The datum will be activated by the Risk Intelligence Duty Watch when applicable.

If the datum overlay is available in relation to specific incidents, it can be viewed by enabling the 'Toggle Datum Rings' button
When the 'Datum' overlay is available, it will show on the system as below
