Ports

Overview on the 'Ports' on the PortRisk product, of the Risk Intelligence System. This includes how to toggle the ports on the system, and explanation on the information contained in the Port dossiers, such as contact details and assessments.

To display 'Ports' on the system, click on the 'Anchor' icon from the left-hand panel

The ports will appear in a list down the left or in clusters as blue icons with an anchor inside.

There are 250+ ports currently available in PortRisk and you can search for them in the search bar or you can click on the icon on the map.

Initially you can see the Port overview and in case of available images, you can see those here.

If you scroll down, you will see more port related information.

Clicking on the 'city link' will display some city related information such as the airport and population and links to the City Threat Assessment.

Clicking on the 'Contacts' icon displays a list of relevant contact details such as 'Search and Rescue', 'National point of contact', 'ISPS point of contact' and a 'Port point of contact'.

Click on one of the headings to see the contact details. In this case the 'Search and Rescue' details.

Clicking the 'Emergency' icon will display contact details for local emergency services.

Click on the one you wish to see and contact details will be displayed.

Clicking the 'Website' icon will take you off the Risk Intelligence site and to the Port’s own website. Not all ports have their own website in which case there will be no icon displayed.

Clicking the 'Threat Assessment tab' will display the Port Threat Assessment.

Each sub-category is expandable and shows the current analysis, together with a Threat Level and a Trend indicator.

Clicking the 'Download Threat Assessment tab' will download to PDF.

The 'Security Risk Assessment' and 'Vulnerability Assessment' are only available for ports which Risk Intelligence has visited as they contain information based on physical observation and discussion with relevant people there.

The 'Vulnerability Assessment' covers the categories as displayed. Each category is expandable.
