User Administration - adding users in your organisation (manually or via CSV file)

Overview on how a company administrator can add users for their designated organisation or company. This is mainly for Company Administrator Users, and not for regular users.

The following functions are only available to the designated 'Company Administrator' and make it possible to administer user details.

To access the 'User Administration' function, you need to go to the top-right corner of the screen, where you will find a circular icon representing the 'User' menu, for user settings.

Select the 'Admin options', which opens a new window, showing the company account name.

Select the company account. This will open a new window, which will show all the registered users and vessels assigned to the company account.

Use the side menu, to quickly jump to the required settings option – or simply scroll down to locate the required setting.

 

I. ADD A USER VIA THE 'ADD' BUTTON

To add a user, either press the ‘Add’ button.

The ‘Add’ button will open a window, where you can add individual users directly, either one at a time, or several using the ‘Add User’, before pressing ‘Submit’

The user will now show up in the ‘Users’ list.

 

II. SET UP A CSV FILE FOR USERS

The ‘Upload’ button will take you to a screen, where you can select a CSV file, and upload a prepared list of users for your company. This function is mainly relevant for adding larger numbers of users at once.

To make a CSV file, open Microsoft Excel, and create a new Excel file. In the top left corner, in cell A1, copy and paste the line as shown in the picture: email,first_name,last_name

This will force the CSV file to recognize the email, the first name, and the last name of the user. This will also make the file readable for the Risk Intelligence System, which can then setup the user.

Then, in the cells below (A2, A3, A4 etc.), type in the information for the usersyou want to add – the email of the given user, as well as the first name, and last name.

When you have listed all users, you want to add, save the Excel file using the 'Save As' menu, and in the file-type selector, pick the 'CSV (Comma delimited)'.

The file will now be ready to upload to the Risk Intelligence System via the 'Users' section.

Please note that users uploaded using the csv file will be added to the existing list of users, and will not replace the existing users.
